Ananya Goswami is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative practice spans over two decades across visual arts and Indian classical dance. Based in Delaware, she brings a unique fusion of tradition, contemporary expression, and storytelling to her work. Beginning her artistic journey at the age of five in India, Ananya has developed mastery in oil, pastel, charcoal, acrylic, and mixed media. Her paintings often explore mythology, human psychology, gender, and cultural identity—woven with emotional depth and a strong narrative voice.

Her visual art has been showcased in exhibitions across India and the United States, including prominent platforms such as the Penrod Art Festival, International Art Exhibition in Indiana, International Art Exhibition in India. Known for her technical excellence and evocative realism, she has earned multiple awards from childhood onward, with her works held in private collections and commissioned by art enthusiasts internationally. She received multiple Awards both as Visual Artist and Kathak Artist.

In a notable interdisciplinary performance, Ananya presented dual art forms on stage in Srishti – The Kathak Academy’s production “Samarpan.” She simultaneously executed intricate Kathak choreography—featuring advanced footwork, rhythmic precision, and multiple spins with ghungroos—while completing a live canvas painting. This rare fusion highlighted her exceptional coordination, stage presence, and the culmination of years of dedicated artistic training.

Ananya is also an accomplished Kathak dancer with over 20 years of rigorous training under legendary gurus including Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji and Vidushi Saswati Sen Ji. She is the Founder & Artistic Director of Srishti – The Kathak Academy in Delaware and a National Scholarship recipient from the Government of India (CCRT). Her recent honors include the 2025 Delaware Individual Artist Fellowship and the 2024 Artist Grant in Dance.

Whether through brushstrokes or rhythmic footwork, Ananya continues to merge visual and performing arts, creating immersive, multidimensional experiences that honor heritage while engaging contemporary audiences.

"Citrus Encased" -A strikingly realistic color pencil artwork portraying a small group of oranges enclosed in a transparent plastic bag. The piece captures the vibrant hues and natural textures of the oranges, contrasted beautifully against the delicate, crinkled plastic wrapping. Light plays through the bag, casting soft reflections and shadows, enhancing the sense of depth and realism. This artwork turns an ordinary moment into a captivating visual study of texture, transparency, and detail.
